ASG-Ellsworth’s HB Kruger and Stuart Marais today won the seventh and final stage of the TransCape MTB Encounter to claim the overall UCI men’s title.
This was the pair’s sixth successive stage win, which took riders on a 73km challenge from Houwhoek to where the race concluded in Franschhoek.

The ASG-Ellsworth pair finished today’s stage in 2:50:15, beating Chiru-Magura/Canyon’s Antonin Marecaille and Julian Biefang in second. Ellsworth-ASG’s Hanco Kachelhoffer and Pieter Seyffert rounded out the podium.
Udo Mueller won his sixth successive stage to claim the overall men’s solo title. He finished the stage in 3:08:17, beating Roland Mueller and Stefan Hackl in second and third respectively.
