Investec-Songo-Specialized’s Annika Langvad and Kate Courtney soloed to their second successive stage win on stage two of the Cape Epic today.

The pair broke away from the rest of the field with approximately 30km left of the race to win the stage by well over four minutes ahead of Team Spur’s Ariane Luthi and Githa Michiels.
Luthi and Michiels finished in second after beating Silverback-KMC’s Mariske Strauss and Annie Last in a sprint finish.
Langvad and Courtney extend their lead on the general classification after winning the first two stages, as well as the prologue on Sunday.
Team dormakaba SA’s Candice Lill and Amy McDougall was the first South African team to finish the race, placing seventh overall.
