Manuel Fumic and Henrique Avancini won the 106km second stage of the Cape Epic, which finished at the Arabella Wine Estate, Western Cape, today.
The Cannondale Factory Racing pair completed the race in 4:05:52, beating Centurion Vaude’s Nicola Rohrbach and Daniel Geismayr and Canyon Topeak’s Alban Lakata and Kristian Hynek into second and third respectively.

Ellsworth-ASG’s Stuart Marais and HB Kruger was the first South African team to finish, getting home in 18th overall. The pair now take hold of the African’s jersey.
Investec-Songo-Specialized’s Annika Langvad and Kate Courtney won the women’s race in 4:37:43, to extend their lead on the general classification. Team Spur’s Ariane Luthi and Githa Michiels finished in second over four minutes later, with Silverback-KMC’s Mariske Strauss and Annie Last completing the podium.
Team dormakaba SA’s Candice Lill and Amy McDougall tighten their hold on the African’s jersey in the women’s race.
