Groupama-FDJ’s Rudy Molard won the 198km sixth stage of the Paris-Nice, which finished in Vence today.
The Frenchman completed the stage in 4:40:05, beating Lotto Soudal’s Tim Wellens (Belgium) and Quick-Step Floors’ Julian Alaphilippe (France) into second and third respectively.

Molard was one of 10 escapees with just two kilometres left.
Following a string of attacks from the others, Molard left it later and attacked with just over a kilometre to go. He then surged ahead and soloed to victory by a couple of seconds.
Astana Pro’s Luis León Sanchez (Spain) retains the yellow jersey.
