Stage one
On the first stage, riders made their way to Storms River Adventure Village. The group of mountain bikers who did the Tough event, tackled the single track of San Parks through Salt River and up to the summit of Grootrivier pass. Those who participated in the Lite event, rode on tar road and rejoined the other group at the top of the Pass.

Stage two
The second day saw some wet conditions as riders made their way from Tsitsikamma to Brakkeduine. The riders in the Tough event got to enjoy sights from the Tsitsikamma Falls Adventures park. They rode some single track, which then became jeep track as they entered Cape Pine forests. The Lite group rode a more direct route and re-joined the Tough event’s cyclists in the Regyne Protea Farm

They then endured single track until Aston Bay, before taking on an urban pursuit in and between Jeffreys Bay – a combination of jeep and single track finished the leg in a Zuurbron farm.
