Terengganu’s Artem Ovechkin claimed the overall Tour de Langkawi win after stage eight ended in Kuala Lumpur today.
The Russian finished with a total time of 32:06:45. CCC Sprandi Polkowice’s Lukasz Owsian placed second overall, with St George Continental Cycling Team’s Benjamin Dyball in third.

The 141.4km final stage was won by Bardiani CSF’s Andrea Guardini who crossed the finish line after 3:10:25.
Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec’s Manuel Belletti followed him home, while Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia Luca Pacioni came in third.
The top South African finisher for the tour was Bennelong Swisswellness Cycling Team’s Brendon Davids, who finished 14th today and seventh overall.
Jaco Venter, who rides for Dimension Data, finished in 12th spot on the day and 16th on general classification. His teammate Johann van Zyl crossed the line in 35th place and placed 17th overall.
