Movistar Team’s Alejandro Valverde won the overall Volta a Catalunya title after the final stage finished in Barcelona today.
He claimed a total time of 28:25:07, while his teammate Nairo Quintana finished second overall and AG2R La Mondiale’s Pierre Latour third.

The 154.8km stage was won by Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates who finished in 3:28:04.
Movistar’s Marc Soler finished 13 seconds after him, with Latour in third.
Fourth and fifth on the seventh stage went to Trek Factory Racing’s Jarlinson Pantano and Bora-Hansgrohe’s Jay McCarthy.
