Quick-Step Floors’ Alvaro Hodeg won the 152.3km first stage of the Volta a Catalunya in Calella, Spain, yesterday.
The Colombian completed the race in 3:39:31, beating Bora-Hansgrohe pair Sam Bennett (Ireland) and Jay McCarthy (Australia) into second and third respectively.
