Wild-card entries are for riders who have neither qualified through participating in a Gran Fondo World Series event and finishing in the top 25% of their group, nor won their category at the SA National Road Championships.
They are also open for those who have not participated or completed three world series events, regardless of their ranking.
Those interested in applying need to have placed between second and fifth in their category at the road champs.
The closing date for applications, which need to be submitted along with a sporting curriculum vitae, is May 31.
A secondary allocation will take place if there are any unallocated entries after the first process.
