South Africa’s Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio just missed the podium in the women’s Liege-Bastogne-Liege in Belgium today.
Boels Dolmans’ Anna van der Breggen (Netherlands) won the 118.5km race in 3:34:23, beating Mitchelton-Scott’s Amanda Spratt (Australia) and Annemiek van Vleuten (Netherlands) into second and third respectively.

Nearing the close of the race, Van der Breggen was on her own – a handful of seconds ahead of Spratt. Van Vleuten and Moolman-Pasio followed about 20 seconds later, but the Dutchwoman won the final sprint between the two.
The depleted bunch were another 10 to 15 seconds back with Ellen van Dijk (Netherlands) winning that sprint.
