Kyle Symons and Rosemary Bailey won the respective men’s and women’s race in the first event of the Madibaz MTB XCO Series in George on Sunday.
Symons finished the course in a time of 1:24:29. Hayden and Luke Cocksedge claimed second and third respectively after 1:27:23 and 1:27:48.

Fourth place went to Hendré Terblanche, while Shaun Smith came fifth.
Bailey won the women’s race in a time of 1:18:07. Anuschke Smith claimed second after 1:30:20.
Leendert Cronje and Jean-Marié Roelofse won the men’s and women’s U23 races.
