Philadelphia MTB race results

Lawrence von Gunten rode to victory in the 75km men’s event at the Philadelphia MTB race in Philadelphia, Western Cape, today.

Finishing in a time of 3:16:55, von Gunten beat Malcolm Isaacs (3:21:37) into second place, with Waldo Zevenster (3:27:59) third.

In the women’s race, Anthea Angermund took the honours in 3:34:18, ahead of Sam Young (3:46:06) and Leorine de Wet (3:47:30).

Michael Lambrecht won the 56km men’s race in 2:24:35. He was followed by Wilhbert von Ludwig (2:26:33) and Juan Louw (2:30:26).

The women’s event was led home by Megan Lloyd (3:04:42), followed by Elishia Drotschie (3:06:08) and Rita Mustaine (3:08:23).

Willem van der Walt secured the victory in the 37km race in 1:36:45. Philip Kotze finished second in 1:38:11 with Jason de la Harpe (1:46:28) third.

Danielle Barnard claimed the women’s title in 2:02:52. Hannah Moller (2:06:19) and Holly Erasmus (2:09:54) rounded out the podium.
