Andrew Edwards claimed victory on stage two of Tour de Limpopo that started and finished in Tzaneen today.
The U23 cyclist, who rides for ACDC, finished the 175km course in a time of 4:26:53. He was followed home by WCA’s Redwan Salih Ebrahim who finished in 4:27:00. ProTouch’s Gustav Basson took third after 4:27:02.

BCX’s Clint Hendricks, who claimed the yellow jersey after stage one, finished in fourth place after 4:27:02. OFG’s Dirk Jacobus Coetzee completed the top five after crossing the line in 4:27:02.
ProTouch’s Jayde Julius and James Fourie created a two-minute lead by the 100km mark, before their lead progressively diminished throughout the next 60km. Hendricks led the charge, before Basson launched an attack with 10km to go.
The chasing group then reeled the leaders – Basson, Hendricks and AC/DC Dynamics’ Calvin Beneke – in, before Edwards surged ahead and took the race spoils.
