Hein Knacke and Elsie Grobler won the respective men’s and women’s race on stage one of the Trail & Trout that started in Bronkhorstspruit today.
Knacke finished the 84km course in a time of 3:14:20 and was followed home by Andre Terlouw in 3:14:20, while Jaco Lange finished third in 3:18:34.

Grobler claimed a winning time of 3:50:09. Venessa Kleyn and Shelleigh Terlouw placed second and third in 3:51:39 and 3:51:40 respectively.
Christiaan Kotze and Leonard van Gend won the men’s team race in a time of 4:20:48.
The women’s team race was won by Cindy Brentley and Gerda Regal after 5:25:10.
John Lofty-Eaton and Christelle van Niekerk won the mixed team race in 3:50:26.
