Team Sky’s Egan Bernal won the 196.5km sixth stage of the Tour of California in South Lake Tahoe yesterday.
The Colombian soloed to victory in 5:30:58, beating Mitchelton-Scott’s Adam Yates (Britain) by a minute-and-a-half. Bernal’s teammate Tao Geoghegan Hart (Britain) rounded out the podium.

With the result, Bernal took the race lead ahead of the seventh and final stage tomorrow.
