Grand Prix Priessnitz Spa results & GC: Samuele Battistella takes honours on stage one

Samuele Battistella took the honours on the first stage of the Grand Prix Priessnitz Spa in Rymarov, Czech Republic, yesterday.

The Italian finished in 3:18:59 to beat Norway’s Lunder Aarlust Hakon (3:18:59) and Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard (3:18:59) in the 133km course from Jesenik.

South Africa’s Gustav Basson (3:19:22) finished 28th with Devin Shortt (3:19:22) 56th, Ryan Harris (3:24:47) 116th, Andrew Edwards (3:24:47) 117th and Mitchell Eliot (3:24:47) 118th.

Battistella leads the overall standings in a time of 3:21:06. He is followed by Hakon (3:21:12) and Vingegaard (3:21:18).
