It will be Impey’s sixth appearance in the French Grand Tour. In a team statement, they said Impey would add “strength and experience in the transitional stages as one of the best all-round riders in the world”.
Briton’s Adam Yates, taking part in his third Tour, will serve as team leader after having had a successful season with multiple stage wins and a few top-five overall performances under the belt, while backing it up with a second-place overall at the Criterium du Dauphine two weeks ago.
