Andrew Hill and Henry Liebenberg won stage one of The Midlands MTB Stage Race in Howick today.
The pair finished the 56km course in a time of 1:58:20. They were followed home by Norvyn Pitout and Byron Ekerold, who finished in 2:19:53. Third place went to Ernest Welch and Roger Zoio in 2:32:51.

The mixed team race was won by Martin and Jeannie Dreyer after 2:12:28. In second were Hayley Smith and Dale Allan in 2:31:16, with Judy and Gerhard Gous completing the podium in 3:09:38.
The solo men’s race was won by Jordan Wisdom in 2:11:05, with Natalie Bergstrom claiming the women’s win in 2:23:42.
