Team Swift’s Luke Lamperti won the 124.5km fifth stage of the Junior Tour of Ireland yesterday, as South Africa’s Rickardo Broxham took the race lead.
Lamperti completed the race in 3:02:21, beating Lux-SideshowSpec’s Andrew Vollmer and NRPT-Chill Ins’ Sean Kennedy in a sprint finish.
Broxham finished 13th and has moved into first on the general classification standings ahead of the sixth and final stage later today, with a time of 10:53:11, six seconds clear from Vollmer.
