Team Sky’s Geraint Thomas climbed to victory on the 108.5km 11th stage of the Tour de France atop La Rosière today and with it he took hold of the yellow jersey.
The Briton completed the stage in 3:29:36, beating Team Sunweb’s Tom Dumoulin and teammate Chris Froome to the line.

Thomas took the race lead with a general classification time of 44:06:16, almost one-and-a-half minutes ahead of Froome in second.
