Terence Parkin and Martin Hillerman won the 124km opening stage of the 250 cycle race in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, today.
The Full Throttle pair completed the race in 3:26:08.
Team Meme’s Pieter Avenant and Zanri Rossouw won the mixed team’s category in 3:53:14, finishing ahead of Bluff Multisport Mixed’s Paul Muller and Angelique Muller in second and Team Fouche’s Jaco Fouche and Linda Fouche in third.

Bluff Meat Supply #1 (Deno v Heerden, Michael Viljoen, Haig Gibb, Brad Venter) won the four-member team race in 3:27:38. Thule Cornubia (Bryan Powell, Michael Rowland, Luke Chambers, Reece v Staden) came second and Bluff Meat Supply (Austin Steyn, Trevor Rowe, Warren Price, Donovan Geldenhuys) third.
Ryan Harris won the individual race in 3:34:45, beating Martin Atterbury and Wayne Booysen into second and third respectively.
