Casper Kruger and Lynette Burger were the respective winners of the men’s and women’s feature race at the Buffelspoort Road Challenge in Rustenburg today.
Kruger completed the 95km route in a time of 2:33:04, with Michael Pretorius and Callum Hilton claiming second and third respectively.
Mark Pretorius finished in fourth, while Nigel Laver came in fifth.

Burger’s winning time was 2:50:34 and she was followed home by Suzan Cronje and Danielle van Graan. Fourth and fifth went to Linda Fouche and Beverley Wingfield respectively.
The 40km event was won by Richard Guy, with Johnathan Slatter in second and Hendrik Botha in third.
Elmari Pieterse won the women’s race, Marlene Knight was second and Jessica Clare came in third.
