Michael Valgren, 26, is set to join Team Dimension Data from January 1, 2019, on a two-year contract, the team announced today.
The Dane, who rode this year for Astana Pro, won the Amstel Gold Race in what was described as the biggest win of his career.

Added to that, Valgren won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, making a decisive break with 2km to go to solo to victory.
He also finished fourth at the Tour of Flanders and claimed three top-10 finishes at the Tour de France. It was his fourth appearance at the French Grand Tour.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Team DiData,” he said. “It’s a big opportunity for me to go to a team that’s keen on really building its Classics squad.
“I really look forward to working with the guys on the team and I see a big future for myself there.
“Right now I can’t wait for 2019 – to get going on my new BMC bike – which is obviously also really important these days, the equipment.
“In that regard DiData is right on top of things, so I’m sure there will be some great years ahead.”
