He completed the 13.6km route in a time of 24:18.

The event was won by USA’s Ryan Boyle, who crossed the line after 22:13. Great Britain’s Craig Collis-McCann claimed second after 22:58. Third place went to Spain’s Joan Reinoso Figuerola.
