The German Bora-Hansgrohe rider finished the 156km stage from Tarnowskie Góry in 3:16:39 to beat Columbian Alvaro Hodeg (Quick-Step Floors) and Italian Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo).
Ackermann leads the general classification in 6:15:30. He is followed eight seconds later by Hodeg and 11 seconds later by Belgian Jenthe Biermans (Katusha-Alpecin).
