Y2Karoo Race results & GC: Pieter Korkie seals overall victory

Pieter Korkie won the third and final stage and with it the overall title of the Y2Karoo Race, which concluded in Colesberg yesterday.

Korkie completed the 74km stage in 2:44:50, narrowly beating Martin van der Westhuizen and Marc Fourie into second and third respectively.

Johanet Cilliers won the solo women’s race in 3:20:46. Yolande van Heerden and Ilse Nel completed the podium.

Dawie Grobbelaar and Hendrik Bester (Silverback) won the men’s team category in 2:50:22, with Marisca Steyn and Elizma Kock (dormakaba Ladies) taking the spoils in the women’s version in 3:24:36.

Christo Roos and Tania Kirstein (Enduroplanet) won the mixed race in 3:09:35.
