Germany’s Pascal Ackermann won the opening stage of the Tour de Pologne in Krakow today.
The Bora-Hansgrohe rider, who claimed the sixth RideLondon-Surrey Classic title last week, completed the 134km course in a time of 2:59:11.

Quick-Step Floors’ Alvaro Hodeg followed him home, with Mitchelton-Scott’s Matteo Trentin in third.
Trek-Segafredo’s Giacomo Nizzolo claimed fourth place, while LottoNL-Jumbo’s Danny van Poppel finished in fifth.
