He finished the 72km solo men’s race in 2:49:54 to beat Marc Fourie (2:55:51) and Pieter Herbst (3:25:00).
Yolande van Heerden claimed her second stage victory when she crossed the line in 3:45:41 ahead of Johanet Cilliers (3:46:47) and Ilse Nel (3:53:50).
It was another good for Silverback’s Dawie Grobbelaar and Hendrik Bester as they finished first in 3:04:24. They were followed by Charl Coetzee and Camelius van der Riet (3:16:29), with Rion Laubscher and Michael Bates (3:25:35) rounding out the podium.
Dormakaba’s Elizma Kock and Marisca Steyn (3:46:02) took the victory in the women’s team event. Smiley de Kock and Debbie Maritz (4:22:59) came in second, followed by Charise Bezuidenhout and Berdine Gotz (5:13:55).
Christo Roos and Tania Kirstein (3:26:49) claimed the honours in the mixed race and were followed by Wimpie and Leandri van Biljon (3:50:11). Third were Errol and Elmarie Thole (4:13:20).
