South Africa’s Greg Minnaar placed 16th in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill event at Mont-Saint-Anne in Canada yesterday.
Minnaar completed the downhill route in 4:21.53. France’s Loic Bruni had the fastest time, finishing in 4:12.71, beating Australia’s Troy Brosnan and Britain’s Danny Hart into second and third respectively.

Britain’s Rachel Atherton won the elite women’s race in 4:51.44. Her compatriot Tahnee Seagrave and Australia’s Tracy Hannah completed the podium.
