Quick-Step Floors’ Elia Viviani sprinted to victory on the 178.2km third stage of the Vuelta a Espana in Alhaurín de la Torre today.
The Italian completed the stage in 4:48:12, beating Trek-Segafredo’s Giacomo Nizzolo and Bora-Hansgrohe’s Peter Sagan in the final sprint.

South Africa’s Ryan Gibbons of Dimension Data finished ninth.
Team Sky’s Michal Kwiatkowski retained his red jersey with a general classification time of 9:10:52, 14 seconds ahead of Movistar Team’s Alejandro Valverde.
