Alan Gordon secured the victory in the men’s feature race at the Mooketsi MTB Challenge in Mooketsi today.

He beat Francois Theron (3:19:24) and Bill Noel (3:26:39) in the 70km event when he finished in 3:05:20.
Claudia Slattery (4:03:19) took the women’s title ahead of Theresia Lessing (4:20:25) and Shirley Scriven (4:26:08).
The 40km men’s event was won by Morne Lampbrecht in 1:11:49, followed by Sheldon Muller (1:29:19) and Bevan Muller (1:29:25).
Ani Gutierrez (1:40:12) was the first woman over the line. Second place went to Christelle Coetzer (1:40:18) with Jennavieve Truter (1:40:55) completing the podium.
Jarred Watridge took the spoils in the 10km men’s category when he finished in 27:57. He was followed home by Waldo Potgieter (28:40) and Success Malulsls (28:52).
The women’s race was won by Heidi Katzke (32:58), beating Rachel Rose Thompson (33:00) and Tashane Ehlers (33:59) to the line.
