Supporters can watch live as South Africa’s Alan Hatherly competes in the U23 cross-country race at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, tomorrow.
The race starts at 4.30pm and can be watched via live streaming on the UCI YouTube channel and can also be followed on the Team Spur twitter page.
Hatherly took the silver medal at last year’s champs in Cairns, Australia, as he battled it out against New Zealand’s Sam Gaze.

This is the 22-year-old’s last chance for the U23 rainbow jersey before he moves into the elite category.
“The start at Lenzerheide is crucial. You have only 100m or so on the straight before we turn left onto an open tar road climb,” said Hatherly, who recently won his category at the Mont-Sainte-Anne world cup in Canada.
“Once you’re on the tar climb it’s near impossible to pass riders, and diving straight into a tricky single-track section afterwards makes tactics even more important.”
