Andries Nigrini won the men’s feature race at the Wees Wakker Cycle Challenge in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, today.
He completed the 65km mountain bike race in 2:14:45. Daniel Griesel (2:17:51) was second over the line, followed by Neville Rosenstein (2:20:39).

Samantha Sanders led the women’s race home in 2:22:29 to beat Lizle Rosenstein (2:35:31) and Anni Summer (2:52:36).
Renaldo le Roux won the 35km men’s event in 1:25:38 ahead of James Sauis (1:26:13) and Bernard Louis Nigrini (1:28:18).
The women’s victory went to Rozel Montgomery (1:36:18) with Philna Gouws (1:36:19) and Allenore Willemse (1:40:35) rounding out the podium.
Juan van Niekerk was crowned the 15km men’s winner when he finished in 45:11. Rohan le Roux came in second (47:21) with Willem-Pierre Coetzee (48:39) in third.
Danica du Plessis (57:50) took the women’s title ahead of Bianca Vorster (59:08) and Alida du Toit (1:01:52).
