Jan-Hendrik Gutter and Lodewyk Lombard won the Berg and Bush ‘Great Trek’ after the third and final stage concluded at Em’seni, KwaZulu-Natal, today.
The Lost Boyz pair finished second, however, in the 48km final stage, losing out to Colin & Eugene’s Colin-Allan Germs and Eugene Beck. Team Chap’s Eric Storbeck and Francois Lotter completed the podium.
Gutter and Lombard finished with a final general classification time of 9:19:01, beating Storbeck and Lotter by some three minutes.

Team Big Box Mixed’s Junita and Gerhard Kruger won the overall mixed race and Blondes on a Bender’s Michele du Toit and Bev Wood the overall women’s team category.
Carl Adendorff took the overall spoils in the solo men’s race, finishing ahead of Dean van Dyk in second.
