Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes extended their lead after winning the 114km second stage of the Cape Pioneer Trek, which finished in George today.
The PYGA Euro Steel pair completed the race in 4:36:24, beating NAD Pro’s Matt Beers and Gawie Combrinck by less than a minute. Team Spur-Specialized’s Alan Hatherly and Simon Andreassen finished third.

Silverback Volvo Mad Macs Kawasaki’s Yolande de Villiers and Charlie McFall won the mixed race in 5:09:32. KMC Focus Team’s Trommer Cemile and Karen Brouwer won the women’s team category in 5:26:49.
