South Africa’s Reinardt Janse van Rensburg, of Dimension Data, placed sixth on stage one of the Tour of Guangxi in Beihai today.
The 107.4km stage was won by LottoNL-Jumbo’s Dylan Groenewegen in a time of 2:21:45.
He was followed home by Team Sunweb’s Maximilian Walscheid and Quick-Step Floors’ Fabio Jakobsen.

Bora-Hansgrohe’s Pascal Ackermann finished in fourth.
Groenewegen also leads overall, with AG2R La Mondiale’s Silvan Dillier two seconds behind him and Walscheid in third.
Quick-Step Floors’ Fabio Jakobsen is in fourth place overall, while Astana Pro Team’s Andrey Grivko is in fifth.
Janse van Rensburg’s teammate Jay Thomson is the highest placed South African after finishing seventh on the general classification.
