South Africa’s Matthew Ferguson was unable to qualify for the sprint finals in the men’s 50 to 54 age category at the Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles yesterday.
Ferguson finished 32nd in the 200m sprint in 12.755 seconds, with only the top eight qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Australia’s Chris Murray won the qualifier in 10.909, beating USA’s Koh Annoura and Russia’s Victor Shapovalov into second and third respectively.
