A memorial ride has been planned for Sunday in honour of Cape Town cyclist Lance Botha, who died in an accident at Diep River a couple of weeks ago.
The 43.8km ride takes place from the Fish Hoek Beach parking area on November 4.

It will be held to pay tribute to Botha and all other riders who have lost their lives in tragic circumstances.
Participants will cycle to the scene of the accident where a “ghost bike” will be placed in remembrance of Botha.
The bike, also known as a ghostcycle or WhiteCycle, will also serve as a reminder to motorists to keep a safe distance from cyclists.
A few words in memory of Botha will be shared before the riders return to Fish Hoek.
Botha was out practising with his club for an upcoming event when a vehicle veered into their lane and collided with the group.
Several riders were injured, with Botha passing away on the scene.
