Gerhard Matthysen won the solo men’s race of the Grinder MTB Challenge in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, yesterday.
Matthysen completed 17 laps in 5:54:12, beating James Durr, who completed 16 laps in 5:52:17. Johnathan Pretorius finished third, completing 16 laps in 5:58:01.
Tandi Kitching won the women’s race, completing 13 laps in 5:48:28.
Ekibike-Dupasquier took the spoils in the team category, completing 18 laps in 5:59:06.
