David Garrett and Jenny Hughes won the respective men’s and women’s events at the Langebaan Country Estate Cycle Challenge in Langebaan today.
Garrett finished the 80km route in a time of 2:05:00. Wynand Dippenaar crossed the line in second, with Charl van Wyk third.

Fourth place went to Christopher Engel, with Steven Hayes in fifth.
Hughes won the women’s race in 2:15:07, beating Heidi le Roux and Desiree Strydom into second and third respectively.
Ann Norsworthy finished in fourth, with Rita Mustaine in fifth.
Adriaan van Zyl won the 30km men’s race, while Anne-Marie du Plessis took the win for the women.
