South Africa’s Timothy Hammond and Alan Gordon finished second in The Pioneer after the fifth and final stage concluded in Queenstown, New Zealand, today.
The SPOT Africa-Insect Science pair finished second on the 86km final stage in 4:23:13. Michael Vink and Tim Rush won the stage and with it the overall race.

Amy Hollamby and Kate McIlroy won the women’s team title, while Josie Wilcox and Joe Skerman took the overall spoils in the mixed category.
