Gert Fouche won the elite men’s individual pursuit at the SA National Track Championships in Cape Town yesterday.
Fouche won the race in 4:36.83, beating Byron Munton into second, with Joshua van Wyk rounding out the podium.

Victoria Bester won the women’s category in 4:11.98, beating Ilze Bole and Elfriede Wolfaardt into second and third respectively.
Jean Spies (10.42) and Charlene du Preez (12.04) were the respective winners in the match sprint. Both Spies (11.17) and Du Preez (12.60) also claimed victory in the keirin.
