The Cape Town-based Kinetic Cycling Club was dominant at the recent SA National Track and Omnium Championships, which took place at the Bellville Velodrome last week.
The club, which aims to harness and promote the sport among the youth, racked up a total 45 medals at the national champs, 20 of which were gold, 16 silver and nine bronze.

Under-17 rider Jonathan Bouwer was particularly impressive, having claimed nine gold medals and broke two South African records.
U13 girl rider Jessie Munton won four gold medals and U11 Cameron Wilcox four gold medals. Matthew Fortuin won one gold, four silver and three bronze medals in the junior category.
“I am immensely proud of all our riders,” club chairman O’Ryan Bruintjies said.
“Our overall performances at the nationals is a step in the right direction and this is only a small part of our quest to fulfil our objectives.
“We are looking forward to the 2019 season where we will try our best to continue with these amazing feats.”
