He completed the 52km event in 1:55:59, beating Daniel van der Walt (1:56:29) and Johan van Zyl (1:59:53) to the finish line.
Carine Gagiano showed her talents when she claimed the women’s title in 2:31:19. Marilize Cilliers (2:35:50) came in second, followed by Charlissa Schultz (2:39:41).
