Matt Beers won the 59km first stage of the Knysna Bull, which finished at the Knysna Waterfront today.
The NAD Pro rider beat Alan Hatherly narrowly by nine seconds, with Nicola Rohrbach closely following in third. Beers extended his lead to 27 seconds over Hatherly.

Samantha Sanders won the women’s race in 2:36:10, beating Sabine Spitz by six seconds. Jennie Stenerhag completed the podium. Spitz, however, retained her race lead, 18 seconds clear of Sanders.
Henry Liebenberg came first in the men’s under-23 category and leads overall.
