Cycling South Africa named the 25-member squad to take part in the African Continental MTB XCO Championships in Windhoek, Namibia, from April 12 to 14, earlier this week.
World under-23 cross-country champion and last year’s winner Alan Hatherly as well as the recent Knysna Bull winner Matt Beers have been included in the elite men’s category.

Multiple national champ Mariske Strauss was included among the elite women, while young rising star Tiffany Keep was named as the only U23 woman.
Promising juniors Daniel van der Walt and Luke Moir, who both made waves last season, have also been selected.
The versatile Frances Janse van Rensburg was named among the junior women.
