South Africa’s Ryan Gibbons just missed a spot on the podium in the 131km fourth stage of the Tour of Oman at the Oman Convention & Convention Centre today.
Bahrain-Merida’s Sonny Colbrelli surged to victory in 3:17:09, beating CCC Team’s Greg van Avermaet and AG2R La Mondiale’s Clement Venturini to the line.

Astana Pro’s Alexey Lutsenko retained the race lead with a general classification of 14:54:46, 14 seconds clear of Van Avermaet.
Gibbons is currently seventh on the GC 30 seconds back.
