Deceuninck-QuickStep’s Elia Viviani won the stage, beating UAE Team Emirates’ Fernando Gaviria and Katusha-Alpecin’s Marcel Kittel to the line.

Jumbo-Visma’s Primoz Roglic retained his race lead for the fifth consecutive stage with a general classification of 18:54:09, 21 seconds clear of world champ Alejandro Valverde.
