Stuart Marais won the 40km feature race of the Howick MTB Classic in the KwaZulu-Natal yesterday. The race is situated in Marais’ hometown of Howick.
Marais completed the race in 1:54:43, comfortably beating David Low into second by some five minutes. Jedson Tooms rounded out the podium.

Nadine Nunes won the women’s race, beating Sarah Ryan and Jane Collier into second and third respectively.
Eric Marzoppi (1:13:14) and Judy Gous (1:19:13) were the respective winners in the 20km race.
