Police have found the vehicle used when a 64-year-old Port Elizabeth cyclist was attacked and robbed in an ambush last month.
The cyclist was out on an early-morning training ride on Kragga Kamma Road near Cows Corner when he noticed a white Jetta parked on the side of the road.

As he approached the car a man came out of nearby bushes and pushed him off his bike, stole his cellphone and ran to the vehicle.
The car had two other occupants and they all drove off in the direction of Seaview after the assault.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg confirmed that the vehicle had been recovered, but said no arrests had yet been made.
“We recovered the vehicle in Uitenhage last week and it has been impounded by the SAPS,” she said.
“We haven’t made any arrests yet, but the investigation is continuing.”
Without revealing their investigation methods, Janse van Rensburg said there were procedures in place which they were following.
She advised all cyclists who go out on training rides to ensure they have some sort of back-up to provide support should their safety come under threat.
“All cyclists need to be cautious when they’re out training and should have additional vehicles driving with them, especially when riding alone in secluded areas.
“They just need to make sure they’re safe.”
